The Ritz is there, it's just hard to see cause the glass is reflective.

The Res at the Ritz is there. Look again

Murano is hidden from this angel due to it being covered by Commerce Square which is taller.

Both 10 Rittenhouse (completed in 2010) and 1706 Rittenhouse (completed in 2011) are there. So is Penn Medicine Transnational Research Center (I believe completed in 2011) and Colket (completed in 2010) in University City. The time stamp on the post where I found this picture on twitter said 2012.

Last time I stopped by 5 of the smaller caissons were complete and 5 of the larger caissons were complete and they were drilling another hole. I'll stop by again today.

Its so similar to the construction of Evo. This phase took forever and then all of a sudden, boom, it started to skyrocket up. I'll keep my eyes on this too but I think we have months of this phase left before we see anything go vertical.

Walked by yesterday. I'd say probably a few more weeks to a month left on caisson installation. They got a ton done. Probably 40% of the caissons are installed.

Just not a lot going on that would make for a good picture up date. But they are certainly getting a TON done on site. They work 6 days a week until 6-7pm. There is a boom crane, a mobile crane, two drilling rigs, a larger drilling rig. At least two trucks come in a week with large caissons.

A ton is going on. They're moving quick.

This is not the sexy phase of skyscraper construction. Lots of necessary foundation work happening below street level. I mean, it's cool if you're a construction geek, but not too many people stop to gawk at it.

The steel forms are set in the ground and then removed after the concrete is poured? Im just curious as to how those forms are removed without pulling out some of the concrete. Unless they are removed once the concrete sets.

Yes. The steel caissing is removed as concrete is being poured into the caisson.

Don't know if this means anything as far as a next phase, but I use the parking garage next door for work between this building and EVO...we were informed via E-Mail that starting on Monday, the sidewalk between the parking garage and Walnut St. will be closed off due to the next phase of construction.

There also has been a lot of work on the near by tracks and the area between where the building sits and the tracks. Don't know exactly what they are doing, but seems as if they are prepping for something new.

Hope this news doesn't mean they will shorten the tower ...

FMC also said it is changing its plan to split into two companies, which would both have been based in the new tower. FMC will instead keep its Lithium unit (used in batteries), while finding a buyer for its profitable Alkali Chemicals mining and manufacturing division (which mines soda ash and other raw materials, and sells to glass and detergent makers and other basic industries).
http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/i...cel-split.html

If I recall correctly, wasn't part of the growth in height of this building (from 650 to 730ft) due to FMC's plans to split into two companies?
