Born and raised in Calgary, but in Edmonton for exactly the last half of my life. (15 years in each city) I definitely consider myself an Edmontonian.

I really like both cities though but I am a 100% Oiler fan (parents moved to Edmonton from Germany before they went to Calgary and they brainwashed me at a young age). lol

Well, if we're telling our life story:

Born in Fairview (never lived there though - it was the closest hospital)

Lived in:
Worsley, Jarvie, Grande Cache, Edmonton, Hay Lakes, Peace River, Red Deer, Lloydminster, Red Deer (again), Edmonton (again), Beaumont, and now Calgary for the past 10 years.

I LOVE the Water Valley Salloon. Living in Calgary it's easy to forget just how much of the "old west" still exists if you just drive a bit off the beaten path.

They still have a hitching post!

I spent many a night and paychecks on their "Country Size" Rye-diets, back in the day.

let me guess... you went in there after 18 holes at WVGC for overpriced wings and watered down draft?

Fun bar though... just minutes from where I grew up.

Actually, I used to hit it up for a meal after a day visiting various plants in the general area. The waitresses (they recently had this one CUTE Aussie gal) would often ask me if I'd been up working on the rigs. If you've ever seen me, you'd know how funny that is, but I guess they were being kind. I'm your stereotypical skinny IT geek.

Don't golf, although I do ski. That's one step down in the pompousity ladder.

Originally from Edmonton, moved to Calgary in 1996. Still cheer for Edmonton sports teams, which has been tough lately, but last years Oil rally was great to be an Oil fan in Cowtown.
