Asian 7-11s have a whole selection of ready to eat food, similar to the deli at T&T Supermarket. They also sell booze that you can drink freely in public. Las Vegas has no problem with people drinking in public. I don't understand why we can't do the same in Canada.

Headline should have been "option".

I meant Shoppers is one option...or another to what we have. The article did not state there was a second new option...plural as the headline inferred.

Is the downtown Future Shop shuttered? Best Buy has announced that Future Shop will be closing its stores today (or yesterday.) Some of the locations will be turned into Best Buy but others will simply be shut down.

I hope its one of the ones converted to Best Buy. There aren't really a lot of other choices to buy electronics if you live centrally.

^It's shut for now, but time will tell if they convert it or not. I suspect they will keep it. If not, great redevelopment site!

Sounds like it should be okay and rebranded into a Best Buy. The closures will mainly be stores that are located in close proximity to each other, which makes sense, why have 2 stores adjacent to each other.

Signs on the downtown store say it will re-open next Saturday as Best Buy. So it's okay.

The South Edmonton Common store would be a beast to find a new tenant for... that one was huge.
