^ yes it is. Brand new.

Even better, this thing was APPROVED by the EDC

Makes me really wonder if either this quazi-independent boards wasn't influenced by the owner, being the CRHC, or if, because of the location, it just wasn't deemed "important" enough to make any effort on

Especially dissapointing when you have rather nice buildinngs built/ being built in the immediate vicinity like the Norwood Fire hall, Parkinsons' centre and this similar sized apartment complex, that notably did not have to go through EDC, and will probably end up costing less to build:

I guess the EDC lost the "no more crap" memo, and defaulted to "why reach for the stars, we're Edmonton".

Yeah apparently EDC has lost their mandate! Not every project can winner winner chicken dinner. But some of the designs they have approved recently are atrocious. Must investigate to see if Ed Gootch has a relative on the EDC!!

Took this pic out in Sherwood park on Broadmoor Blvd... I haven't seen that type of building construction before, what is it?
