I remember EZE from when I was a child in the 1950s. We (my family) travelled from New Orleans to BA by ship (Delta Lines). It took almost two weeks. We flew home from EZE via Santiago, Lima, Panama City, and Miami on the old Pan American/Grace Airlines (Panagra) on propeller driven DC7s. The idea that you could fly non-stop from BA to places like DFW (where I was from at the time) or HOU would have been considered unthinkable. It is interesting to learn details about BA's air connections to the rest of the world.

Aerolineas Argentinas on 30AUG13/31AUG13 is to operate Buenos Aires – Auckland – Sydney – Buenos Aires route on one-time basis, on board Airbus A340 aircraft. This one-time flight will replace Sydney nonstop flight on outbound flight.

A330-200S FROM ILFC


PARIS – June 19, 2013 – International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), a wholly owned
subsidiary of American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG), announced it has signed an
agreement to add four A330-200 widebody aircraft to the Aerolíneas Argentinas (Aerolíneas)
fleet this year.
“ILFC is honored to work with Aerolíneas to help support the airline’s strategic initiatives to grow
its fleet and increase the network of long-range services throughout the region,” commented
ILFC Chief Executive Officer Henri Courpron. “We are delighted to introduce the A330-200
aircraft to the Aerolineas fleet. This transaction highlights ILFC’s unique ability to provide a
comprehensive, tailored fleet solution that meets our customer’s specific requirements.”
“For the last four years and under the Argentine State managed turnaround, Aerolineas
Argentinas has been committed to a solid business plan. Our widebody fleet has been
modernized and simplified to serve a very challenging geographical network. On the process
towards newer generation solutions, the introduction of four A330-200 from very prestigious and
long standing partner ILFC represent a new step in the right direction,” said Sergio Garcia
Gomez, VP Fleet Planning. “These modern Airbus aircraft will provide the latest in technologies
and offer our passengers new levels of comfort and entertainment options while onboard.”
The four previously operated aircraft will be completely modernized with new cabin interiors
including state-of-the-art Inflight Entertainment options available in every seat. Deliveries of the
aircraft are scheduled to take place later this year
