Boston is Beautiful -- May 2020 2

So these were taken on Thursday the 14th, one of those perfect sunny spring days where the colors pop like you're in Los Angeles (which I LOVE). And then being on unemployment I have basically every day free to wake up, look out the window, and make the call whether it's worth venturing out (from the safety of my car!) or not. It goes without saying, but as soon as I pulled up the shades and saw that brilliant sun and deep blue sky, I knew I'd be spending some time wandering about.

We start down in Dorchester on Savin Hill

Now in the South End

Northeastern U

There should be so, so much traffic here

And now a drive through the Back Bay

Looking towards Cambridge..

And our final stop, Newbury Street during the lunch rush

That's it for this trip. I already went out on another one today so there's definitely a part three coming

I think that Boston is the second best city in America, narrowly edging out San Francisco and D.C.

Boston looks amazing springtime! Visited Boston in March 1998. Mostly sunny and I remember it like yesterday, one of the best city trips I made even if it was only a late evening and for a day (was heading to New York already in the evening). The feeling was so spectacular as it was my first time in America, I was only 19 and thought Boston was a light start since it is more European/small scale in size.

Great shots. Boston definitely does not give me warm and fuzzy feelings when I lived there for two years, but the pictures do. You take wonderful photos

Sigh....we were supposed to be flying up tomorrow for our annual Boston, Portsmouth & Ogunquit escape. This year was going to be 10 days, and I'm pretty bummed. These beautiful pics were right on time, thanks so much for the nice consolation prize!

Can't wait for #3.

^ Ah, sorry to hear! Somehow this new normal has landed me in Boston (or a suburb of it) and I have my girlfriend's car I can use whenever I want. Just trying to make the most of this bizarre situation. And part 3 will be coming either tonight or tomorrow!

Ha, I have such a complicated love/hate relationship with Boston. I lived there for 10 years and I never managed to fully make peace with the place. There are things Boston does very, very well, and things that make me want to strangle it by the neck. PS thanks for the kind words.

I’ve only been to Boston once, and that was just for half a day, which is totally nuts because I love cities like that. Great photos. Thanks for sharing.

I spent a little time in Boston last September. It was my first time there and I really enjoyed exploring the city. Nice to see these beautiful spring scenes!

I don't know you guys but, when I see downdown Boston skyline, the word pops out of my head is "peace", instinctively; but when it comes to NYC skyline, word is "aggressive".
