This building won't have any effect on the skyline but it is decently nice infill. I think the best part of this building will be at the Riverwalk level (hopefully anyway).

Thanks for the photo, Raul.

Grass, benches and bigger trees. Give the trees 5-10 years. Live Oaks take a long time to grow, but once they do they become very full and provide a lot of shade. In 15-20 years those small Live Oaks on the left and right will start touching each other and provide a fully canopy over the stone pathway.

What I'd like to see is how new buildings fit in with the skyline, or their parts of the skyline. So if you can see this (or other buildings) when you're out and about from more of a distance, please take those kinds of photos.

Thanks! And once again, welcome to the forum.

With all the changes made to the exterior, the original renderings no longer reflect what the finished project will look like. These new renderings were made within the last week and reveal how the finished project should show.

[Edited] I was having issues posting the images. I have resolved the issue and posted below.

I know its not finished so I keep hoping my mind changes, but at this point not to happy the way this building is turning out. Hopefully the floodgate doesn't do the same thing.

Any particular reason for all of the design changes...money issues? Thx for posting the updated renderings

Several reasons for multiple changes, but I believe the end product still looks terrific. There is a tremendous amount of limestone being used internally and I think the building is going to do a great job of mixing both old and new San Antonio.

Lots of large open spaces both in the restaurant and throughout the project. Really looks great already.

Since your moniker is "SAHotels" do you have an idea of how the inside of the Thompson Hotel is progressing? That one looks pretty great too.

Another fantastic project, further along than this one. You can actually find some images online from various hard hat tours (one I was on included). I won't post here due to the irrelevance to the Canopy, but it's great to see these beautiful projects closing in on the finish line.

We do have a Thompson thread going a little further down. Would love to see them if you get a chance to post. I watched the virtual tour they had on youtube but that was for the residences.
