Very good dish. Terrific flavor.

MIXED BERRY CAKE
Pastry based filled with chantilly cream, topped
with a layer of sponge cake and
lavishly garnished with an assortment of berries

It looked amazing and tasted pretty good. You could kinda tell it might have been in the freezer a tad to long!!

Only 2 occupied tables including us at 6:00 pm. Service obviously was quick. Our waiter had the personality of a pencil. The atmosphere was quite with nice music in the back ground.

Over all....3.5 pasta dishes out of 5.

Edmonton restaurants could get a break on strict parking rules
Edmonton’s requirement of one parking space for every 3.6 square metres of dining space is the second highest in the country, behind only Calgary and far higher than Saskatoon, Regina, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver.

Downtown really needs another standalone McDs (i.e. not in a mall). Went to the one in Oliver Square earlier this evening to scratch that quarterly Quarter Pounder itch. What a gong show! Long lineups to order and to pick up your grub. Most seats taken. One of the seniors who parks her wrinkly carcass in there every day was involved in some heated drama with other regular seniors because her usual table was taken, and nearly got into a catfight with another old woman.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but my better half just informed me that Billingsgate has closed down for good.

Very sad, that was an Edmonton institution and the best place to get exotic seafood that you just couldn't find at Safeway. Apparently the Newfies went there for their fish, too.

Looks like the land has been sold though. As I drove by Saturday night I saw the sign had a big SOLD on it. So we may see something soon there.

Not sure what you do with a big lighthouse-shaped building except put a seafood joint there. Here's hoping.

Went to the Creperie Sunday night - food was good but service was slow.

They were short of waiters and ours did the best he could but if this was your first time it would leave a bad impression.

Sad indeed, but other choices exist that are on par.

Mild-mannered coffee shop by day, and hipster craft beer bar by night. Yes, that’s BRU, the new coffee and beer house located at 11965 Jasper Ave. (780-906-3377). Check out the grand opening of the new business on Saturday, Sept. 19 from 2 p.m. till late. While other coffee shops seem to want to specialize in a particular brew, BRU offers several different roasted beans, such as Transcend, Bows and Arrows and Phil and Sebastian. Both coffee and beer are available all day and night. http://www.brucoffeeandbeerhouse.com/
