Judging from field conditions's shot, the glass looks like a freakin mirror!

^ I think at that angle, any glass will look pretty much like a mirror. We'll have to wait for more straight on shots to get a good read on the transparency of the glass.

Went by yesterday, and it might be the most beautiful glass I've ever seen.

There's so much construction and development around the city that a lot of these developments aren't getting the shine that they should. Even without everything that's going on in the Hudson Yards, on 57th Street, Grand Central district, or even Brooklyn & Queens, there's enough excitement in skyscraper development going on Downtown. I think this is one of the more exciting to see finally taking shape, especially after the long layoff.

This boom is unbelievable. For at least the next 4 years, we'll see a new peak in the skyline every few months.

For a moment, I thought the reflection was actually a precast panel like at 30 Park. I cannot recall seeing better looking glass than this. Well done!

Yet glass doesn't look like the trendiest when transparency's been widely in fashion these days. I'm just wondering whether this wouldn't be related to the use of the building. After all, when you're at home, in your most private room, you don't want strangers outside to look in.

Wow that glass is ridiculous. Along with the exposed concrete... I am in love with this building...

^ Ditto that. Great combination of glass and concave concrete. Cannot wait until this tower is finished.
Thanks for all the updates guys.

Yep, bare concrete looks surprisingly good when combined with some fresh glass. It's astonishing and daring like some contemporary tribute to the 60's brutalist façades that so many yet dislike. In this case, though, glass widely takes over. I can think of an example in Maisons-Laffitte, a Parisian suburb with large sections of bare concrete walls shown off by the façade. Too bad I can't get any better picture than this:

Glass to that thing is slightly tinted and the overall thing looks good, at least as long as the façade is clean but I think it will age quite well.

I expect this tower to be spectacular. It's the best high-rise residential design seen on here IMO.

So how are they actually planning on cleaning the glass on the facade? That's going to be a fun job....

This building is going to look even better than I was expecting, and I was always a fan.

Bridges have no windows either. They're all completely disgraceful too.
