I'll look next time, but I don't ever recall being smacked in the face by the dome's dirtiness? At least from street level. Plus there's not a corporate logo that's in eye-shot. It's more about your logo...side-by-side with grit and grime that's the issue...at least from a corporate standpoint.

I love the exoskeleton of the new building. Very different than what is being used on all of the new constructions that I know about.

Agree, looks even better in person. Good addition, not cookie cutter glass.

Nice to see a change from the all glass look.

I'm anxious to see how the base will be treated. Bland billboards or animated Time Square, I really don't know what to expect from the renderings. Advertising will make up a large proportion of how this building will look from the street. According to the renderings. It looks great so far.

Noticing that the "exoskeleton" echoes the facing on the Reading Head House..

These pictures don't really show it well but does anyone know why there's random beige spots in the cladding? It almost looks like they forgot to paint some areas grey. Or maybe it's a covering that hasn't been removed. I've seen them bring them in and install them like that and it's an OCD nightmare.

That angle makes it look very short, compared to Aramark and "PSFS". Almost makes them look like Supertalls!
But I like the project, and how it compliments the Reading Terminal façade.

i wonder how much longer before that organic grocery store opens- it was supposed to be completed a while ago. Everytime I walk by I see minimal activity inside, but stuff is happening.

That's because it has to develop organically.

This is turning out to be such a handsome building.

Way better looking than the renders; might even be my favorite going up right now.

The new high rise on the 1200 block of Walnut is also very handsome.

Collectively, the new development east of Broad is being down very well (these, the Brickstone developments on Chestnut, the proposed SOM building at 13th & Market).

It could turn out to be quite a sophisticated turn of events for East Market.

It also sounds like the "Fashion Outlets of Philadelphia" changed course without ever even taking off (thankfully). With word out about the movie theater and the many restaurant concepts coming to the old Gallery, my bet is that it will become what we said it always should have been: an anchor for regional urban locations of stores like the Container Store, CB2, etc. My bet is that PREIT quietly moves away from the Fashion Outlets concept and rebrands the entire gallery project without much fanfare. Otherwise they'll look like they completely misread the market. Which they did.
