I noticed the a sign on the perimeter calling this building "New Generation Rental Tower", better than BCIMC.

Yeah, I like that name much better too. Kind of a funny name, but much better, and at least it's not some cheap artsy buzzword type name.

The last update for this one was Aug 27th. I'd love to see how it looks now a couple of weeks later.

This tower will have quite an impact on the look of the East Beltline skyline.

The 1st and 2nd level columns are expected to be poured in October. The structure will soon start taking shape. Judging by the height of the onsite crane it does not appear that the building will be much taller than the Colours building despite the tower being 26 storey whereas Colours is 22 storey.

If only they could completely change the design right now, before it's too late

Well whatever. The design may suck, but this is going to add a lot of density to an area that sorely needs it

IMHO I think the rendering lacks any detail, so we don't even really know if it is actually good or bad.

I think NGR will be okay. Nothing special, but solid, and overall a great filler.

Noise Exemption Permit

Ellis Don was granted a noise exemption permit effective Nov 25 - 27 to facilitate overnight construction work and concrete pour. There should be some good progress happening...
