Petterson has apparently not gone home to Sweden and is already begun skating at Roger's Arena.
That guy is sick!

Hard to believe that from 1984 to 1990, Canadian teams won six Stanley Cup titles in a row!

During that same decade, two other times Canadian clubs took part in the final and lost.

And two of the finals actually featured two Canadian teams.

And let the Pietrangelo insanity begin!

Fulsome series win for Tampa, proving once again that hockey (unlike basketball for instance) is won by a full team effort, not by a marquee player.

Have to laugh at all the coronavirus protocols for the playoffs and then they pan to the crowd in Tampa, packed in not a mask in sight.

And fast forward to this year: a Florida versus Texas Stanley Cup Final.

Congratulations to Tampa Bay. Thank you for annihilating the Bruins earlier if I didn't already say thanks for that.

The Tampa Bay Rays have a decent shot at winning the World Series too.
And the Miami Heat is in the finals and could win.

Florida could dominate sports in 2020... and somehow it would be fitting in this crazy year.

When Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Bucs, many gave them a shot at going to the Super Bowl... but I really doubt that'll happen... but it could add another Florida team in the finals if I'm wrong.

Last time the Lightning won, we didn't have hockey the entire next season. Let's hope Covid doesn't cause that to happen again.

And the last time Dallas lost in the Stanley Cup final, Colorado won the Stanley Cup.

Loved him at the last World Juniors in Edmonton.

Done very little since and now a potential next season/career ending?

Sportsnet reporting Edmonton Oilers defender Oscar Klefbom has a chronic shoulder problem that kept him out for parts of the last two seasons requires yet another surgical procedure and it may cost him the entire 2020-21 season. #LetsGoOilers

Probably time to spin out the NHL Thread: 2020-2021 season.

How are they planning to hold the season? I heard they are going to start in January, but with 7 Canadian teams and the border closed, will they have a Canadian division and (East/West US) divisions maybe?

Unfortunately, I don't see how we can have a hockey season this year. The league saved the 2019-2020 season by creating the "hockey bubble", which was a real success and we need to congratulate them for that but I think the next step is to just hold and wait until we have a working vaccine or at least a major improvement on how this pandemic evolve. Closed borders is a no-go for a 2020-2021 hockey season.

A classy move by the New York Rangers to welcome their 1st overall pick, Alexis Lafreniere :
