Man, Toronto is on fire! I really like some of the small projects too, like 321 Silver Star Boulevard. Though that coffee shop better be a Timmy's and not a Starbucks, or I fear the locals may revolt.

There is a timmies a 2 minute drive north and south of that site. Also, there is a gas station getting built on a vacant lot next door that has an unnamed "Food Partner" with a drive through that is almost certainly a Tim Hortons..

its suburban Scarborough. A Starbucks in the area would actually be nice haha.

what? that was just proposed this summer, no?

They made a fresh submission to the city in May, at the very least.

Just to provide some insight, 31 Parliament (unsurprisingly) got slammed at Council for it's jarring height/density and how it relates to the historic St. Lawrence Market District right nearby. Expect a height chop and something less...wacky.
Also, for the Ontario Street office building, Council felt that the design and submission was overall fairly good, although the main concern was for the TCHC building right next door, which would be receiving a rather blunt view of the back wall of the office building, and they said overall that the developers should revise their proposal with a slightly more relaxed manner to break up the hulking mass of the tower (etc. step-backs, height reduction).

Sorry, I believe you're right, perhaps I was thinking of a different building... FWIW I think the proposal is gross and hopefully it gets revised big time.
