Yeah, from that angle the balconies appear to be all oriented the same top to bottom. Is it true or an illusion? I'll have to check next time I'm down there. On another note you've heard from me before: this baby should've been built much taller to take full advantage of its unique design. Besides, higher units command much higher revenue and are most desired. For such a liberal city, SF sure has conservative tastes when it comes to building heights. Compare the skyscraper diagrams of Chicago vs SF or even LA also in earthquake country. And yes, I'm aware of all the unfounded "Manhattanization" fears of the '80's, etc. Sigh, sorry for the rant. I do love this building.

Now that this Jeanne Gang designed building has all its skin on, can someone in the area please walk up to it and take a closeup photo looking straight up from different angles? The building's unique design seems most striking up close than from a distance. Thanks ahead of time to whoever can do this!

Sfmira 2019 images

The best angle seems to be from the sidewalk directly below:

I find Mira to be disappointing from a distance from numerous angles, especially disliking Studio Gang's simple and cheap looking treatment of the mechanical penthouse surround. [No, 181 Fremont isn't dirty, Salesforce Tower's windows are!]
