I don't think a few years ago anyone would of guessed our city's tallest building would be going up just metres from the MacDonald Bridge, let alone three of them with two more 27-storey buildings also going up nearby.
What are the two 27 storey buildings? I know the Boston Developments one just north of the bridge, what's the other?

The Post Office project downtown is also underway at 26 Floors.

And in that vein, I see that Manga is now touting them as 40 storeys on its website: "Located at 20 Best Street, next to the Halifax Harbour, a 3 tower development with 40 stories and 1350 units that will stand as icons in the Dartmouth skyline."

This. Although I suppose we could wait until the Centre Plan amendments allowing the new density is formalized. I believe that's fast-tracking it's way through Council now.

Manga's been known to play fast and loose with the facts before. I saw a piece in an industry publication a good 2-3 years ago that referred to these towers as "under construction" at that time. All part of the promotion game, I suppose. Or perhaps it was the fault of the reporter...
