Nice pics. I don't think I've seen the angle before in that 4th one or the last one. Those really show off the new density around 2nd and 3rd Streets.

That's a unique view that we rarely see for whatever reason - that view looking over House Park at 15th & Lamar. West Campus is turning into its own skyline. I can't get over how much has been built there. I don't even mind the ~200 foot plateau.

So impressive not only the quantity of construction, but the relative quality of the construction going on in Austin. Really great to see it continue to evolve.

Also, I can see where people are coming from with the Miami comparisons, but those Austin skyline shots from across the river reminds me of Chicago's South Loop.

Very nice photos of a growing city. They need a subway system in and around Austin.

Thanks. Would love a subway system. Not sure how well it would work in limestone.

Wow, it's certainly grown leaps and bounds since I was there in July 2014. Really loved the vibe of the city - young, energetic, progressive, intelligent.

On a site note, I must say that Austin has probably the hottest women and men I've seen in any major city in America. Everybody was so fit and muscular, and pretty we dressed. Loved it.

austin really punches above its weight - guess that comes with the territory of being the capital city of one of the biggest states in the country. beautiful photos.

I agree about the beautiful people. When I go to the gym, I'm astounded at the good looking Anglos, Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, Middle Easterners, and South Asians. I see a lot of ethnic mixtures, too. It can be a frustrating experience, actually. If you're into guys, the Greek god types are all over the place. If you're into women, there's everything you could want.

Nice shots! Amazing how much the downtown has changed in 20 years.

I do get somewhat of the "suburban office park vibe" from certain views now though... glassy buildings, big lawns... I get that office park with corporate golf course feel... which is so far from what Austin's vibe was/still is(?):

I really like this view... shows the depth and breadth of the urban core:

And can definitely envision future build-up on the other side of the river in this one:
