When I next move back to New York, I think I might live in Brooklyn for a while. It should still be relatively more affordable to buy a place than in Manhattan, too.

I didn't say it would be cheap, just cheaper than Manhattan (and by Manhattan, I mean south of 23rd Street).

yeah, i understood what you meant and surely right but i was alluding to the fact that Brooklyn is THE hot place now. I like your "south of 23rd st" description because that's my line in the sand too unless you are close the rivers. Midtown? It's incredible but it's not for me. IMO the REAL NYC is Bleeker St/Houston St and points south

NYC=sex

This thread=sex

At some moments while watching this threads I almost understood that delirious Ayn Rand.

Some cites are have a serene beauty. New York has an obscene beauty.

Sorry for reposting all these pics again but they reminded me of where I was born and raised. I think my childhood home could be seen in one of them.

I lived between Bleecker and Houston, west of 6th Ave.

1 minute and 13 seconds of pure Manhattan aerial footage. Best viewed in HD on full screen.

I find it interesting that although you see NYC aerial footage in a lot of shots in TV and film, it goes by too quick to ever fully take in just how dynamic the city looks from the air.
