Thanks for the pics Summer. I'm actually starting not to mind this project, maybe the light blue facade brings in a ill contrast to the surrounding buildings. I still wished this building had some curves to it.

Design is rather plain, but it fits in nicely with its neighbors at least.

Its solid infill for the area. Nothing special about the design. Its not going to standout ina good or bad way. I would really like to see something a bit taller in the area to break up all those box buildings hoovering around similar heights.

There is a 250 height limit within 250 feet of the Parkway.

Of course there is...

What about the lot at 15th and Race. That's past 250 feet and is a huge lot. Anything planned there?

Pretty sure PAFA owns that lot and plans to eventually build student housing there. Maybe if the right developer comes along with plans to develop there, they could build something significant and include a student housing component. There is no height limit there and the zoning is really lax. Anything can be built there (residential, student housing, office, hotel, etc.)

That lot is like 15-20 separate properties owned by Parkway Corp and a private garage operator that is managed by Parkway Corp.

I agree. At least this building provides some density.

One problem I have is the washed out grayish look they chose for the trim. So generic, so institutional looking.

Looking at jr dizzys next to last photo there are 6 buildings. Each one unexciting as the next. Drab lifeless color schemes, and the newer buildings completely unimaginative.

I like the visual texture of the glass, it helps to make the building less boring than the renderings.

I do not mind the trim. It actuallys fits well with the rest of the structure's facade. At least the structure has different facade patterns; along with its lighter color scheme, gives it a unique appearance as compared to its neighbors.

Add me to the list of people who don't think the building is that bad. It fits in well with its neighbors, while its the light color livens things up a little bit. I kind of like that its facade looks like a blend of the Municipal Services Building and Two Penn Center.
