It is impossible to pinpoint. But, the "cycle" maybe begin in 2017/2018 (at the earliest) - not "into the 2020's." However, momentum may not seem (be visible to the layperson) to have increased for a year or two after the phase commences.
We need to see where oil prices are...how China and India are doing...what's going on in Europe...how the tech sector is moving along...prices (and availability) of commodities like wood, steel, concrete...labor force challenges...etc., etc., etc. A lot of the aforementioned lead to either an increase or decrease in international commercial real estate investments.
