Calgary Skyline from the East (only 1)

I took this while there over christmas. Was some strange light.

That's nice! Too bad that powerline got in the way. That's the closes I've seen the skyline and mountains together.

You can thank pollution due to an inversion for the "strange light." Nice photo though. I am surprised with the lack of snow along the spine of the Rockies there considering how much more snow there is farther south in CO.

Yeah Shame about that powerline. Oh Well.

Yeah the smog was bad that day, and the lack of snow this year is odd. Global Warming and smog captured in the same picture :-)

Why do the mountains always look closer from the NE? Nice shot, I think I parked in that field when I flew home at Christmas (overflow parking at the airport sucks!)
