Moreso around the Interlakes/ 100 Mile House area, but feel free to post anything else going on in the area

It was really busy for a May long weekend, more & more European tourists in rented RV's. Have never seen that level of activity this soon in the tourist season. Roads were jammed with RV's

Real Estate seems to be moving in the area.. Acreages and recreational properties mostly, but tons of SOLD stickers on realtor signs, again much Moreso than previous years

There is rumour of a new motel in Interlakes, just to the east of the townsite. I heard starting later this year

The Ironhorse in Lone Butte is opening back up after being closed for two years. This makes us very happy as we won't have to drive to 100 Mile for a beer anymore. There is apparently a new wood fired pizza restaurant in Sheridan Lake right by the resort but we were unable to locate it. Note to business owners: if we can't find your place you can't take our money. The Thai restaurant by Bridge lake moved to 70 Mile, did not make the trek. Del's, Sunshine Cafe, Wildmans all open for business

In 100 mile, the new RCMP detachment is complete and a few other new buildings have gone up along the highway. The Safeway shopping plaza on the south end of town seems to be dying a slow death while the new Save-On plaza on the north side of town is booming.

They've built three new fire halls for the Bridge Lake FPD. It appears as though the province has come up with some money for the area

I spotted at least four new homes/ cottages being built on Bridge Lake, at least one being of the luxury log home variety.

Well I never got back to central BC this summer, it's been spectacularly busy with my new building and all that comes with starting up a brand new complex, but leaving for an extended holiday to the Cariboo next week and a much needed reprieve from Edmonton

We're also going to spend a night up at Barkerville if the weather holds. Looking forward to the peace & quiet of our retreat at Bridge lake, it'll be interesting to see if anything has changed in the area. This spring there were lots of signs of construction activity at Interlakes and 100 mile house. And of course the Ironhorse pub in Lone Butte is finally open again! Will post anything of interest here
