Most beautiful Porto Alegre photos ever. From a pro photographers forum!

Not many people visited the FOUND city photos forum. And less people yet reply to photo threads of relatively unknown (in US) cities like Porto Alegre.


But I felt these pictures, which I found in a forum about PHOTOGRAPHY (not about cities or architecture) are incredible and DESERVED to be seen here at SSP.

I hope you enjoy, and spread the word about this thread

I'll comment. PA looks wonderfull. Looks like it has a great old core with colonial architecture. Damn I wish I was there jetskiing right now.

thanks for the comments Mello. Yes, the old downtown has very interesting architecture, but unfortunatelly, lack of investments in the old downtown has made companies abandon it and move elsewhere in the city. Therefore, the old downtown lacks more modern buildings, which are spread in other parts of the city, as in Mostardeiros street and 3rd Perimetral Avenue.

old downtown pic by GersonIbias (who lives in London and always takes amazing aerial photos from the airplanes)


industrial and warehouses area in the northern part of the city




lots of green amid midrises in this area of the city
