I was just thinking... This tower will be 50' shorter that the Vinoly (1200 S. Indiana), if we have correct and absolute height for that one; and the Vinoly will be 300' shorter than Vista.

Well, there may be more than one tower crane for this one...

I may be mistaken but I thought 1200 S. Indiana was reduced to 829 ft.

The 829 ft figure was only if you did not count the crown of the building. With the crown, 1200 S. Indiana is 887 ft.

Great to see this tower starting it rise. One of my favorites going up in this boom cycle.

Out of this cycle, it's hard tie between The Vista and this tower as my favorites going up. It's great that they're not that far from one another too.

That is rather surprising. It's not like the floor plates are big or anything. Plus it'll be concrete not steel (i believe?), so wouldn't that require less crane usage?

The building is not particularly large, but the floor plates are super long and skinny which probably puts the far ends of the floors just slightly out of reach for one crane. I don't think most people realize how much of a slab this thing is going to be, very skinny from the East/West, broad from the North/South.

I don't think these floor plates are that unusually long....plenty of examples within a couple blocks that are right about the same length, and most or all we're put up with one tower crane.....I mean, practically right across the street we have 530 N Lakeshore, and that plate appears a bit longer to me than this one.....

The precast cladding requires a lot of hook time. I imagine this is why they need 2 cranes, not due to the size of the floor plate.

Are there finishes to the interior or details I am unaware of? I haven't seen anything even vaguely Baroque in the design.

I think it's a fairly direct early modern Art Deco design. But I am curious as to any interior lobby renderings that might be around.

465 park is moving, how's this bad boy looking? How do you go about to convince a company to put up an oxblue camera at their site?
