Saigon Metro start diggin down

the work for underground metro from downtown Ben thanh market to Suoi tien park finally started



it'll be a huge under ground shopping mall range from Ben thanh square to Tax plaza. damn






shoppin and easily catch the Train at anytime

It's hard to believe that the metro's only a couple years out. Been saying that for a while, though.

Le Loi St is down to just a couple lanes, so traffic won't be fun for the foreseeable future!

you know my hometown more than i do . when i was there i was like grade 7 . haha Phu my hung was just still a swamp land i think

Saigon downtown is filled with under ground metro contructions now

TP HCM thành đại công trường thi công metro
Tuyến metro Bến Thành - Suối Tiên dài gần 20 km với tổng vốn đầu tư hơn 2,4 tỷ USD được chia thành nhiều đoạn để thi công. Hình hài tuyến metro đầu tiên của Việt Nam đang hiện rõ từng ngày.

Tuyến metro số 1 có khoảng 2,6 km đi ngầm từ chợ Bến Thành đến Ba Son với 3 nhà ga ngầm. Để thi công ga ngầm đầu tiên, khu vực giao lộ Lê Lợi – Nguyễn Huệ, phường Bến Nghé, quận 1, TP HCM đã được giải phóng mặt bằng.

Vòng xoay cây liễu cùng đài phun nước trước UBND thành phố từng gắn bó cả thế kỷ với người Sài Gòn đã được di dời. Những hàng rào tôn cao 2-3 m được dựng lên xung quanh, một số khu vực cũng bị cấm lưu thông. Ngoài ga ngầm ở khu vực này, hai ga ngầm còn lại là ở chợ Bến Thành và cảng Ba Son.

Sau đoạn đi ngầm, tuyến metro sẽ có 17,1 km đi trên cao. Đoạn đi trên cao của tuyến metro có 11 nhà ga. Trong ảnh là công trình xây móng ở đoạn đi cao đầu tiên, phía sau nhà máy Ba Son, đoạn gần đường Nguyễn Hữu Cảnh (quận 1) trên rạch Văn Thánh.

Sau đó tuyến metro tiếp tục vượt đường Điện Biên Phủ, băng qua sông Sài Gòn rồi đi song song Xa lộ Hà Nộ

Công nhân thi công tại trụ đỡ cho đường sắt trên cao.

Tuyến metro sẽ có đoạn đi trên cao vượt sông Sài Gòn. Việc xây dựng trụ bê tông dưới lòng sông đang được tiến hành.

Sài Gòn mấy hôm nay cứ sáng nắng chiều mưa nhưng dù thời tiết như thế nào chúng tôi cũng phải cố gắng làm việc để công trình kịp tiến độ", một công nhân ở công trình dưới chân cầu Sài Gòn nói.

Cầu băng sông dành cho metro cách cầu Sài Gòn hiện hữu 38 m về phía thượng lưu, rộng hơn 11 m, được thiết kế 2 chiều đi và về.

Hố móng nằm giữa sông Sài Gòn.

Sau khi vượt sông Sài Gòn, đoạn metro số 1 đi song song với Xa lộ Hà Nội (quận 2) và kết thúc ở Suối Tiên. Toàn bộ tuyến metro này sẽ đi qua các quận 1, 2, 9, Bình Thạnh, Thủ Đức và huyện Dĩ An (Bình Dương).

we are ready to say goodbye to the fountain

this fountain was built way back when South Vietnam were still a independent country, people had so many memories for it. now we break it down and start to digging down under for the METRO

also good bye TAX PLAZA - transform it self to a 40 fl tower

.............. 135 years old plaza.... now it's gone , the mall are about to close down for the new Mall and TOWER .

on sale is going on in this mall 30-70 percent off lol . no official render yet

You should see District 7 and Nha Be now. Nha Be was farmland and swamp just a couple years ago. And now? Crazy...

^Some good things are happening in VN, it's true.

But people are flooding into Ho Chi Minh City by the thousands causing an almost impossible traffic situation/ pollution levels. The coming metro line will help but until the network spans the whole city, it'll do little to alleviate the horrendous congestion that currently exists.

It's a good start, however.

ok this project is all set . under construction now. tallest building in Saigon on the Tân Cảng Area. which is a port but they use this port land to build this Vincom Central park now. so in 2 year you guys will see a completely new skyline of Saigon. since this project is locate along the river north to downtown.

That looks a lot like the Burj. (Not a bad thing, the Burj is nice, I'm just surprised they went for that similar of a look.)
