Awesome! That could open up some new South American destinations with just one transfer?

This is into Ft Lauderdale. So a few on JetBlue, but the majority of international flights would be an hour down the road at Miami.

Surprising to see these announcements with air travel still down 70%, but great news nonetheless!

I was so hoping the new concourse was going to be for Alaska, I almost never fly Southwest, so I will probably never catch a flight out of this part of the airport....not that I am flying anywhere any time soon.

Really looking forward to seeing this in person. I almost exclusively fly Southwest having an In-Law as a Captain for them. It will be different not heading to Concourse C anymore! Some of my favorite airport restaurants are in C.

I wonder if all of these airlines will survive the crisis and associated downturn. Has anyone heard any sort of official word about our int'l flights to Europe and Japan? I'm just assuming that the BA flight to Heathrow is off the table... and I don't see a BA logo on that map.

Yeah, I've been wondering the same thing. I'll bet our Delta flights stick around (maybe not LHR), and probably Icelandair too. But I'll bet that the Condor flight is gone (didn't they get bought out by LOT anyway? Maybe we'll get a flight to Warsaw in its place! )

Yeah I always fly Alaska too, but if you want to see it, once you get past security you can access any part of the airport.

Oh yeah, and since my wife is the type of person that likes to show up to a flight hours before the flight, whenever our next flight will be, I am sure I will have plenty of time to check it out.

Starting at about 2:05 there's a presentation about the Terminal Core Redevelopment project:

Video Link

The presentation includes some renderings that I haven't seen anywhere else. (I took some screenshots and posted them to twitter).

One big change: the existing 2,500 sq ft Alaska Lounge will be replaced with a new 9-10,000 sq ft lounge. There's also a new "common use" lounge shown, that looks to be about the same size.

Covid-19 slowed down a lot of progress updates. Plus not many are out and about taking photos of any progression in construction projects.

I will say it's frustrating the amount of stuff I post here to no response, including the above with new renderings of the Terminal Core Redevelopment.

Well thank you for the photos and update. I’ll do my best to create discussion. But boy does PDX going to look much different.

I barely comment anymore but I think I speak for everyone when I say that I definitely appreciate all of your updates.

Thank you for the updates. It's actually a nice distraction from the current weirdness of the world to see some of these plans. I used to comment a lot on this site--since 2004, but haven't so much the last few years. But thanks for always being the first.
