@Shotime: The podium and setbacks are all just eye-balled off of the official renderings. The towers themselves should be pretty accurate though, because they're based off of the suite dimensions (although I got kindof lazy on the northwest elevation...but then again, so did the architect)

@johnnyc: That's how spread out it will be. There's another 8-storey midrise in there, and a 17 storey tower that's just across the street that I haven't done yet. But yeah, 6 towers over ~1.5 square blocks.

@IntoTheWest: Thanks. It all started because I was trying to find Murieta's in Calgary in Googleearth, and then suddenly the whole downtown started popping up around me. So thanks for the inspiration.

i think it is a very good site plan...as it will bring people who might not want "right downtown, tower to tower" type condos.

Once again - good job, keep it up.

Bringing this thread back to life...

Newfangled have you added buildings to your SketchUp list? Any updated renderings with more of downtown completed?

I think CtrlAltDel from the Calgary thread was recently planning on doing a future Edmonton rendering.

He was mentioning that over in the Calgary Future Skyline thread, I'm looking forward to what he comes up with for Edmonton!

I remember seeing a crude what-if? rendering a few years ago that showed what if all the unbuilt Edmonton projects actually were constructed... It looked quite decent... I wonder if we could all collectively work together to develop one... Now that would be something...

I guess we now get to speculate as to why Epcor Tower's construction 'halted'.

I guess IPL is once again the primary tennant of the Embridge Tower, and... oh my heavens... the Canada Trust logo mysteriously returned to the Bell Tower, too!
