Same with Air Canada, BTW. There's no giant DT skyscraper like Rico said, but the executives really do live in Montreal and make the decisions there.

Une deuxieme phase for l'Avenue???

Quote:

«On espère faire notre annonce bientôt.

They are having this big sale next Saturday (http://lavenuecondos.com/). I hope this is to be able to announce an extra 7 stories!!

Seriously, their marketing has been the highest, tallest in Montreal since day one and now Canadiens is real close, each having 50 stories. Imagine if the Canadiens put a cheater-pole on top and beat l'Avenue to the highest title... They have to add a few stories!

If they add the extra 7 floors, I'm going to do jumping jacks in the streets, seriously. 175m is already impressive (by Montreal standards), 200m will place us back in a category that only two other cities in the country are in.

Thanks for the pics. As excited as everyone is for this one, I can't help but be reminded that the architects are Page + Steele which has a history of designing average looking buildings.

Construction seems about to start, they removed the promo wall along Drummond (replaced by construction fencing), saw the the sidewalk and started to crack the pavement along the street

Awesome. It has been since my UG days (90-94 at Clunkordia U) since there has been a 50 (or more) storey building going up in mtl (back then, there were two: 1250 Rene Levesque and 1000 de la Gauchietere)
