Great find. Construction starts in 33 days, 10 hours according to the countdown clock in the app!

Tower crane permit. It'll have two. One tower crane and a luffing crane.

ftp://ftp.ci.austin.tx.us/ATD_AULCC/...rane_PLANS.pdf

I still haven't been able to find the site plan for this.

If you look at the other sheets it looks like 2 regular tower cranes. Luffing crane is on a generic notes sheet.

You're not getting soft on us and hating the disappearing old "iconic" Austin stuff are you?

I have some awesome memories of many weekend nights spent at Liberty Lunch. 20+ years later I park my car in the parking garage where I work and have a pretty good job in the exact same spot where Liberty Lunch was.

Fate. Karma. I love this city.

Lol nah. It's not in my nature, well atleast not yet. Hill Country that's a great story, knowing that you had great memories at what was once a great establishment, now turned into something else.

Does anyone remember the old Miami Subs Grill on the Schlotzky's site? This would have been back in the mid-late 90s. It was actually pretty good.

Don't get me started. I miss the one that used to be in Dobie Mall.

As for Players, that used to be the only place near campus where one could get a soda with crushed ice late at night.

I have something similar too that, I would stop in a eat and chill. Back when people were more laid back. Just can't believe how much time has changed since then.

There was a tower crane permit filed last year (see Kevin's previous post) for this project, but two new permits (one for each crane) were recently filed. The event dates are for mid June. I would have thought the cranes would be up by now:
