These stairs in Lucca, Italy were pretty cool.



On the back of the facade of the Basilica San Michele in Fioro, they were so someone could go up to the statue of the angel on the top and move its wings on Sunday before mass. Keep in mind the church was built in 777 and probably did not have that handrail there.
