I was gonna say, the Chicago River canyon has to be nominated. However, I will have to admit that I prefer the view east from where the river bifurcates

It only screams - I wanna be Paris! to me, while it just can't.
We've got lots of things with more original limestone and ornaments that look better than this here, scattered over the central city.
I'm not saying it's anything fair. I've never claimed Paris was anything fair... It was just ultra imperialist. That's the wicked way it is.

When I have time and the sky is not too harsh, I'll take my cam' to La Défense to shoot the best high-rise canyon over here.
If this thread is still up here and alive, I'll post my attempt to picture it.

Good selection for LA. I would say a more modern canyon that can be a candidate for best in LA would be Grand Ave from Disney Hall looking South, especially after The Grand project is completed.

From what ive seen on this thread so far, gonna be hard to beat that SF canyon and the Chicago one on LaSalle

Indeed. For locals it’s already chaotic, strange too big to make sense of it. For a foreigner then, I think it’s even more dramatic.

When I moved to São Paulo from the orderly Londrina, I just like Downtown as a concept, not a place to go let alone to live in.

Well, moved year this year and I’m loving it. Amazing nightlife, lots of new restaurants, a great mix of people from all social backgrounds, ethnics, which is refreshing in such unequal and elitist society like Brazilian.

I like that bc of the mixed bunch of buildings in the canyon, looks like 57th street.

South Broad Street in Philadelphia

William Penn Place in Pittsburgh

Griswold Street in Detroit

On a rather random note, the corner of Park and Robinson in Oklahoma City has lovely Art Deco towers on three corners.

One of my favorite skyscraper canyon views is the one looking north on Park Avenue in NYC as you emerge from the Grand Central Park Avenue wraparound road headed north.
