if they're just tearing up the parking lot, its still "proposed". it is only "under Construction" once they have begun installing the foundations.

I agree with you. We would say the same thing in the construction industry. I am just trying to be fair. There have been a number of buildings with sheeting and shoring taken place but were not allowed in the "U/C" sub-forum since work on the foundation had not commenced - which "technically" would be correct. Skyscraperpage's definition of "under construction" should apply to all structures; not some buildings this and some buildings that.

I am not trying to tarnish the Skyscraperpage forum. I am just trying to point out some inconsistencies which should be uniformally resolved.

wouldnt it be approved not proposed? why would they dig up the foundation on a building if its not yet approved?

Ok, time to put an end to this silly bickering.

This project is not "approved" nor is it "proposed".
It is under construction.

Wow Montreal I am jealous! This is one sharp looking jem that will be a vital and wonderful addition to the skyline... It will be fun watching this one rise and gradually become part of the new skyline!!!

The building is all well and good, but the name needs to be changed. "Altitude" is simply inappropriate for 115 meters - that's like tacking a spoiler on to a V6 and naming it "Lightning."

Glad to see this one go up! I won't complain about the stubby aesthetics, I'm just happy to see a tower rise in downtown!

Wow, that's some fast progress from a hole in the ground! This thing might be taller than some of it's neighbouring buildings come fall of this year!
