Interesting, unique, tall, distinctive, imposing and different. A definite win in my book, especially for such a prominent corner. Plays well with the new Luxe towers, the Marriotts and LA Central. Excellent

Now, all we need is funding.

Also, guessing about 750 feet tall, considering about 11 - 12 feet per hotel floor and around 13 for office plus crown?

Its a pretty trippy design. The only thing IMO is the landscape facade. Eh, not feeling it, but it has a curvy, artistic touch with the rest of the design. Looks like its a little over 700'. I could only imagine it will look imposing from certain angles and complement LA live as well.

Kinda has a facade that feels like the Las Vegas Cosmopolitan (glassy/waxy portions that is)

If we're lucky this could end up being the 4th tallest in the city.

Nice addition. Finally something that doesn't look outdated or value-engineered the moment it's proposed. DTLA is experiencing a boom, half of which looks value-engineered and generic. Not that generic is all bad but we have a real lack of the kind of high quality design seen in NY, SF, or Seattle.

The latest rendering posted by RST500 doesn't look like anywhere near 700 feet to me. Maybe 600 if even.

How pie-in-the-sky is this proposal?

Considering it shows it to be slightly less than 777 tower, I would say it looks to be exactly 700'. Maybe a tad less.

Hopefully the state's infamous NIMBY's won't ruin this, as this is a lovely project.

It's also proposed to be much closer in the foreground than 777 being that it's on Olympic (777 is on 7th street three blocks back), and the artist seems to have accounted for that. Just look at it in relation to the Ritz, which is only 653ft tall. They're supposed to be on the same street (Olympic) so the Ritz's height is the most accurate reference point. In the rendering this is obviously shorter than the Ritz.

As with the Wilshire Grand. Renderings are rarely 100% accurate. This one in its current states seems a bit optimistic by its current owner but who knows. Don't quote me on it. Someone might get upset.

Don't worry. NIMBYs are only a problem downtown if you block their pool view.

The database on here puts it in between Bank of America and 777 which are 725' and 723' respectively. I have no idea where they got this height from since it hasn't been announced how tall it would be.

Looks amazing, similar to buildings I've seen in Singapore. Fantastic to have this type of development in the US

Very forward looking if a bit strange. With a few more towers around it, I think it will serve the skyline well...

Here's hoping it actually gets built! I think it's exactly the right amount of weird (at least in the renderings).
