The conservative looking skyline of Jersey City looks much better than a lot of new buildings in NYC. It's not all glass. Some are shaped like Art Deco buildings. Developers seem to keep it a little more traditional in Jersey City.

I take it you've missed all the Robert Stern limestone towers that have gone up in Manhattan recently? Plus a lot of other masonry clad buildings all over the city.
Maybe aesthetically Pittsburgh can put up a fight, but size wise it's already smaller than Jersey City
Jersey City is quickly transitioning from a medium city skyline to a large city skyline in my opinion. And, the most important thing, its still on an upward trajectory.
Plenty of room in Jersey City for development. There are plenty of places that skyscrapers could cluster. An art deco cluster around the Beacon development would be amazing. You would potentially have four skyline views: Newark, Journal Square, Newport/Downtown Jersey City, and Manhattan.

Although there were a lot of small kids in the vicinity, distracting my nirvana of the surroundings. So much yelling, when the parents really should shut them up and tell them to bask in the glory of the area and skyline(s).
