656 feet per DOB filing, i.e. the final height is ~700'
61 floors.

The thing with NYC is that if its not a supertall it barely makes an impact on the skyline. Those models and renderings above would be a nice addition if real....

^ Absolutely! You really need a 1000 footer to break the plateau of 700 - 900' tall towers.

Meanwhile, 107 West 57th Street is rumored to become a supertall. All we know for now, is that the tower's height will exceed 900 feet.

i think you need 1100 feet to break the plateau, One57 is barely noticeable skyline view.

I don't think heights are considered official until the building is completed, not just topped out. I am not exactly sure where I heard that but maybe someone else here will know more. Also, we have not had a ruling yet on the official height (will the mast that supports communication equipment be ruled a spire and architectural or not), so all we can say for sure is that it will soon be the tallest building in New York, for a minute at least.

You could say that it is currently one of the tallest structures in the Western Hemisphere, but the CN tower and a few TV masts have it beat. But yeah, nice to see it TO. I can't wait for 2 to start going up.

- HY North Tower: Time Warner signed as the anchor tenant! Meaning, the tower will rise soon. Another 400m+ tower for New York.
- 225W57th: Gary Barnett is in talks with the Bank of China for a $1B loan.
- One57: cladding is speeding up. There's finally some movement.
- 1WTC: beacon to be lit up on July 4th!
- 432 PA: already 20 stories / 100m tall.
- 107W57th: to be completed by 2016. Height is 900ft+.
- Torre Verre and Girasole to start contruction pretty soon.
