Lexington, KY - A little horsing around

I had the pleasure of visiting 'the horse capital of the world', Lexington, KY, this past week and was enchanted by much of it. Great hospitality, delicious food and maybe a little bourbon.

A view from the Hilton.

Well ok.

Off to visit the setting of my favourite movie...don't miss exit 60b they told me...

Cheers y'all.

nice. i get over there fairly often, nice town!

it's older than people imagine, founded in the 1770s. it was established at at natural crossroads on the other side of the appalachian mountains and connecting the "midwest" to the southeast, and the midwest/northeast to the deep south.

Nice. Where are all the people? A pedestrian dead downtown?

It's a pity didn't catch an icon skyline from a decent angle since you were there.

A full and decent Lexington skyline is hard to get.
