Maksima thanks for the updates. What do you mean by "One of the pillars that need repair work." Is there some sort of structural defects going on with the construction of the pillars?

It's not really a new livery. The rainbow livery has been around since the early 2000s. It's not really being phased in either because the last order of buses were from NOVA and they wear the existing yellow/brown livery.

Yeah, I realize that. I saw rainbow bus. We went to HNL for a week vacation from work. I remember this. I remember everything.

Not to knock TheBus, but I can't help but wonder if the fleet received the yellow/brown paint scheme sometime in the 1970s or early 80s. It would make sense

Basically the livery hasn't really changed since the 1970s. The only time that, I think, they ever had a different livery was when they tried to introduce a new express bus service that was short lived in the late 90s. I've seen pictures of them, but don't really remember where.

Civil Beat Poll: Most Voters Oppose Honolulu Rail Tax Extension

A majority of Oahu voters also opposes the $6 billion project in general, but support is greater on the neighbor islands.

APRIL 22, 2015
By NICK GRUBE

Most Honolulu voters don’t want lawmakers to extend Oahu’s 0.5 percent general excise tax surcharge to help pay for the city’s cash-strapped 20-mile commuter rail line planned from East Kapolei to Ala Moana Center, according to the latest Civil Beat poll results.

And half of those polled on Oahu still have negative feelings overall about the $6 billion project that’s struggling financially due to lower-than-expected tax collections, higher-than anticipated construction costs and legal expenses related to lawsuits.

Don't know how reliable this poll is.

I will note Civil Beat has been continuously anti rail and continuously publish articles that are negative towards the project. They are a very biased source for news covering the Honolulu Rail project.

The Star Advertiser has put out it's fair share of articles, but a lot of them are blocked via subscriptions and the articles don't show the full urls to link them, so there's very slim pickings. Also, I'm terrible at doing summaries
