When the Eau Claire 7 tower project and Park Point towers are released, I will add them to my renders I'm working on and post them. But for now:

Nice work CAD! Crqzy how far down the ladder SEC has fallen. Even the Bow takes the back seat from this angle.

I made a model of SkyCity Centre in winnipeg, and me and a few others have made renderings in google earth.

they give a solid image of how a tower like this makes the skyline "pop", we really need that pop so the city has a real peak instead of 3 idenctical peaks.

i say it looks damn good and i hope its built.

Looks very cool. Did you include Centre Point, Glass House, D Condos, and Heritage Landing in there too? If not, would that be possible? Or would they even be noticeable?

I'm envious of Winnipeg and its up to date 3D model system.. My renders would look so much better if all of the existing buildings were done like they are in Winnipeg (as well as vancouver, calgary, and edmonton)..

I guess all I can do is sit and wait for Google to update.

maybe try switching to 3d legacy image mode, there would be a whole load of missing winnipeg buildings if i didnt, but as soon as i switched i was satisfied.

reders all structures that were photographed, and even the tress and houses in the distance

yup they haven't done the update for Toronto with that type of 3D model yet, it still runs on user generated models and the old building maker software. Google is still in the process of updating with the new model kind, and they have been focusing a lot more on the west coast, with degrading commonality of models as you move east. Almost every Californian city over 100,000 people is 3D, but yet they are still missing the fourth largest city in NA.

funny enough the eastern GTA has been done (Pickering, Oshawa, parts of Markham and Scarborough) but not the central city. Montreal was just updated to it in the last few weeks as well, so I feel Toronto is probably going to be done very soon.

No one has posted again yet so I decided to share another model. This is one of those buildings that has a big spot in the skyline, but can ruin it if it doesn't fit in well enough.

I always liked the way Edmonton's skyline is spread out.... Makes it seem larger than it is!

I know I won't make any friends by saying this, but looking at that image I feel like Edmonton should concentrate on mid-rises for the next decade or so to get rid of all those surface parking lots everywhere.
