It is very much under construction. Tons of concrete pillars have been put in and the parking garage is being constructed.

Thanks Sirkingwilliam. I notice the San Antonio forum doesn't get updated as much, and would like to see what changes have been made. I know San Antonio has alot construction going on. Any pictures would be much appreciated.

Lol. It's not that bad out. I usually just drive by and take a picture from my car unless I'm having to take a picture of something for work...then I'll actually get out since I can legally walk around the site.

Y'all will have to help me out on the name of this one...on Quincy and Park I think. I'm still learning my way around.

There's not much to see over at 1130 Broadway other than the foundation and work. Columns have been poured though.

The bind boggles at how close to the highway all these new high dollar apartments are. River House and Mosaic are both directly adjacent to 281 and I-10, and the rear part of these townhomes appear to be just feet from I-10.

I was thinking the same thing the first time I saw them back in September. From the freeway it seems like there's only 10' if that from the bridge to someone's window. I'd be extremely surprised if those units were actually decently quiet and didn't vibrate something serious.

Live music coming back to DT

Quote:
Alamo City Music Hall is opening a new performance venue on East Houston Street, just north of the Alamodome and immediately east of the central business district, in space previously occupied by Backstage Live.

San Antonio | 111 W Jones | 8 FLOORS | Proposed

On this week's HDRC agenda -

A new apartment development at 111 W. Jones. It's the large empty lot at the intersection of Jones and the river, right across the street from the museum.

Alamo Manhattan, of the failed Alamo Heights proposal, is seeking site plan approval for an eight floor building; six floors of apartments above two floors of underground parking.

No elevations yet, just site plans. At 6-8 floors, I'm imagining it'll be steel construction which means at least a small crane on site.

Townhomes coming to Pearl area...

Quote:
The three-story homes will feature modern, industrial design and include enclosed garages, fenced yard spaces, an option to add an elevator, and balconies with scenic views of the city. Four unit types are available, each with three bedrooms and either three or three and a half baths.

Prices range from $400,000 to $650,000 per unit.

Personally I think they are a few years premature with that kind of price.

This is a pretty good location for residential units. I'm looking forward to seeing what the elevations will look like.

Fantastic, I'd be wondering who woned that overgrown lot. Great location for some mixed use though, too bad it's all residential.

Yeah that's totally insane. Maybe if they were right on the river that price might be justified, but that's at least a block away.

The due diligence done has probably warranted these prices. Developers just don't throw a number out hoping it works. If these sale, and they will, this will welcome even more for sale units. Possibly in mid rise and high rise form.

Remember, Silver Ventures, the firm behind the Pearl, has a lot of land yet to develop both west of the River and east of 281.
