SHoP really nailed it with this one, again - it’s going to be amazing watching the form and the facade continue to rise here.

I'll say it again and I'll say it a thousand times. 9 DeKalb would have been even better if Juniors had sold. The bottom third or quarter of the tower could have started to taper out towards the east (think Rainer Sq Tower in Seattle or Houston's
TC Center) and would have provided a block long base which really would have suited a tower of this height better than being wedged so tight into that corner plot. Again, just my opinion but I'm pretty confident in it. Regardless, 9 will be stunning and Junior's will eventually cash out and relocate and a 50-ish floor tower will eventually be built there, albeit now obscuring the east face of 9.

That's what I've been using a rough reference as well. The only problem is that different sources have differing heights on that building ranging from 510' to 525'. I doubt it's taller than 500' based on comparison with other close buildings in skyline shots. I have found height discrepancies on other buildings in the past. I got them to correct at least one.

Looking at all of the other "great" buildings that went up around the site, it may be time to landmark Juniors, lol.

Until 175 Park gets going, yeah, I think this is the best tower going up in the U.S. The facade is crazy good

Maybe even best rising anywhere.

When Juniors gets knocked down they should just be forced to have SHoP design whatever goes there, too.

The next mayor should make that a key point of his campaign. He'd get my vote.

Junior's is like the Nathan's of downtown Brooklyn. I don't think it'll be going anywhere.

Meanwhile, this baby is climbing....

This facade is going to look so nice it will stick out from the surrounding buildings cheap boxy windows look. Love this tower and love the growth underway in Brooklyn, but this building will look like night and day with some of its neighbirs.
