my emphasis

There are likable politicians. Hillary is, according to one of those (once) likable politicians, "likable enough" - a statement bolstered by the near certainty that she's going to win.

Hillary is one of the least likeable people, let alone politicians.

I'm really looking forward to 2020. I gave up on this election cycle a long time ago.

I really think everyone is uninspired by who has been nominated, even if they don't admit it. Party loyalty, even in the face of being presented an undesirable candidate of either side, is something I really dislike about politics. This "lesser of two evils" self inflicted restriction stinks.

This election is beyond ridiculous. Various headlines are now describing today's email scandal as the result of a "Wiener Probe". One cannot make this nonsense up. SMH.

I don't really like any of the 4 on the ballot. I didn't like most of the alternatives in either primary.

My favorite so far is the New York Post cover for today.

Kevin,

Is it possible to move all the political talk to its own thread or to the Off Topic thread?

Thanks,
Chris

Agreed. I hate to kill the conversation, but the hotel development thread isn't really the place, so I moved the posts.

Ideally if you really want to discuss Trump (or the other candidates) and the election, check out this thread in the Current Events section:

I couldn't find a thread on Dobie tower. A Target will open in the retail space next year:

Schlotzsky's is opening a new concept restaurant called "Schlotzsky's Austin Eatery" - in Georgia. It's supposed to creative an Austin vibe which includes live music. The article says Schlotzsky's moved it's HQ to Atlanta last year. I don't remember that, but I wonder why they moved?

It's parent, Focus Brands, is based in Georgia so that is probably why.

There's a new mural downtown. It's part of a 12 city art project. World Class Capital Group (99 Trinity vapor project) is one of the sponsors.

What could Austin have as a unique skyline symbol? Dallas has the ball tower, Seattle has the needle.... Any thoughts? Or is that just cheezy?
