I don't know if we want to add Draft talk to this thread, but it's the next event up on the NHL calendar (sorry NHL awards).

It seems pretty clear what Toronto and Winnipeg are going to do. For fans of Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver, what do you think will happen?

Also - Toronto make a pre-draft splash with the acquisition and signing of Frederick Andersen.

Nobody knows what the Oilers will do. With the old regime it was predictable - the former 1st overall picks were "untouchables", and all trades/signings would be lateral moves.

Now that Nicholson, Chiarelli, McLean, et al have gone through their "evaluation year" since coming aboard last spring, they don't have any attachment will definitely trade and sign some players. The only guy that's completely safe to say will be an Oiler next year is Connor McDavid.

Andersen is a good pickup. Somewhat pricey, but a solid acquisition.

We should probably move this talk to the 2016-2017 season thread HERE.
