This was only my 2nd Argos game so can't comment on Ticats in general but i got a new hate for their fans. They made up about half of my section, spent more time trashtalking the Argos than enjoying the game and left early. They should divide the fan bases, i'd rather have been in an Argos section, only so many black and yellow jerseys with mullets and moustaches i can tolerate.
This description of Ti-Cat fans sounds eerily similar to Rider Fans with the exception of having all their teeth of course.

I watched the game from out west here... I thought it was awesome to watch them play in a close to capacity crowd. There were so many positives from yesterday's opener, including a 95% capacity, a peak audience of 912k TV viewers, high scoring, great plays/catches (Owens), entertainment and tailgating. The only negative I can see, other than the Argo loss, that it wasn't a complete sellout, which I believe had a lot to do with it being on Thursday night. i.e. If it was a Friday or Saturday itd most definitely be a sellout. Wicked to see in Toronto. Reading the RPB forum you'd think that the game and events were a failure, constant negativity, no matter how many positives. Are the Argos a top player in the Toronto sports landscape? Absolutely not... But guess what, the Blackhawks weren't either in Chicago just 10 years ago the Hawks were averaging less than 13k to their games, and now look at them... The Argos will become a lot more prominent when they can put a winning team on the field and keep up with the entertainment and hype.

Awesome to see last night.

A nice number to build off of for the season.

Solid number

I am at IGF sitting through the most ridiculous weather delay I have ever seen. One hour delay for a light shower. At Canadinns, only a tornado would have made them delay the game like this...

Horrible start for the Bombers. Being a Bomber fan is akin to one who enjoys self-flagellation.

Wow! Ottawa ties on a 55 yard field goal with 0 on the clock and wins 45-37 in overtime. What a great match between two great teams.

The Trevor Harris acquisition has already paid off for Ottawa!

That was a hell of a kick, but Ottawa should have been flagged for a time count violation on that play. It made no sense that the play was whistled in, then they got to dork around for half a minute (without any timeouts left) getting their field goal team on the field. Then the refs blew the whistle and re-started the play clock.

It seemed a bit strange at the time but Edmonton didn't seem to have any problem with it.

Was watching the post game, apparently no rules were broken and no need to call a penalty.

The highlight of the week for the Bombers was Medlock's 58 yarder.

Does anyone know why the Redblacks schedule is so goofy? 4 out of 5 to start on the road then 4 straight home games (with a bye in the middle). I would imagine it is tougher to sell tickets for four straight games than to have the games spread out .

The sole memorable occurrence from Friday night's Bomber game, other than the annoying weather delay. Medlock tied a longstanding (41 years old, IIRC) franchise record with that one... not bad.
