^Detroit in that pic looks like a very very young Toronto... The way the city is built along the lake and seeing as the towers make a sort of inverted "T" or triangle... Like Toronto with the towers along the lake and Young...

Great regina shots.

Windsor has great potential, but it looks sore right now.

Yeah. Looking at it they could easily double their number of skyscrapers.
Lots of potential.

Windsor is doing much better now than it has in over a decade, with lower unemployment, a very robust housing market and much improved infrastructure, so it's making progress slowly. I'm hoping the ciy is truly on the verge of a sustained boom, much like Detroit is starting to see. I really think the two cities have so much potential, and are primed for an urban renaissance!

Having a harbour/waterfront really is a great feature for a city, especially when there is a bit of a rise as you go further inland; Victoria, St. John's, and Halifax especially benefit from that (Saguenay too from the photo in this thread).

Here were two other images posted in the Regina thread recently. One is a winter night shot, and one is an aerial down one of the main streets (Albert Street) that gives a good perspective of the tree-lined streets and most of the downtown area:

I do have one sour memory for Regina. I saw a bunch of signs for 'the Warehouse District' and thought it was like Regina's version of 'the Exchange' or something. Turned out that apart for like 5 nice historic buildings it was mostly 1 story modern(ish) warehouses...

Yeah.. the best parts are definitely on the periphery along Dewdney and Broad.
