I need to go downtown again. Those cranes are just nuts. That area still has more coming. One more at the library and Block 1. And then probably one for the Green Water hotel, one to two for the Green Water office tower. And then one to two more for the other Green Water residential tower. The 5th & West tower will have at least one. That's 8. It's possible that between this area of downtown and the other side of downtown around Waller Park Place and Rainey Street that there could be as many as 20 cranes, and that's not counting anything else in downtown.

The amount of cranes is just insane for a city the size of Austin. Insane.

Try to arrive in the fall so you have time to really appreciate it before having to deal with the heat. Still, as I've heard northern visitors say, "you don't shovel heat."

The crane for the Colorado Tower is probably around 400 feet tall. I saw it peeking over the roof of Ashton today from St. Ed's.

Great shot IIluvATX. Can't wait to see the impact on the Seaholm & Block 1 tower will make. Btw looks like "Seven" will be making a small impact between The Ashton and The W.

Great pics, Mike. I really like the one with the roses and the cranes. Hey look, the buildings are starting to sprout.

I know Manhattan comparisons are overused and always comical(when you actually look at Manhattan compared to ...whatever in the US) but this picture looks kind of like Manhattan from the East River.

Awesome.

Awesome.
It's strange cause that view is much closer than when you walk on Riverside. But every time I walk over Riverside Bridge, Spring, Bowie and 360 look much bigger and taller than what they appear on that photo.
