Interresting article in the "Strib" about the TCF possible re-development. A few years out, but I hope it's Tall if it happens.

Hooray! The ugly ramp is finally coming down at the corner of 4th & Nicollet. This is where the new Xcel Energy office building will go up.

^I doubt it. Maybe a floor or two if at all.

On the other hand, the MSP Business Journal reports that the stadium ramp air-rights development may be 35 stories tall instead of 27. Nasa over at SSC reported in March that it would be 38 stories.

Why do you say the Nic on Fifth might be 40-50 floors? I thought it already topped out at 26(?).

I'll re-post here.

THIS IS NOT THE RENDERING OF THE CC HOTEL! It simply shows what 1,000 feet looks like on the convention center site for reference.

If some of you folks think that roughed in render of that CC 1000 footer is bulky, you should take a look at the Bow tower in Calgary..... It's a beautifully designed building, but from two angles it's as wide/bulky of a building as you'll ever see for 770 feet! Much wider than IDS.

The thing is Bob is that its located right in the skyline this building will be located a mile a way in the middle of nowhere. I would prefer something at Vikings stadium or the ritz then something big at the covention center.

^^ Point taken Munchy. But you know as well as me, that it won't be a 1000' if it's built! Probably.... 750'+-! ^^

Avian: Could you post a couple of those super-talls that were over at SSC! One was on the CC site and a green one in the core. Thanks

Avian: Thanks a lot.... However, after reading the TC business journal, I'm afraid any prospects for a couple of large/tall developments probably went up in smoke! Colliers is predictng vacancy rates for office to go from 16% to 24% in two years.... that doesn' sound good at all! Dissapointed.....

^Keep in mind that's mostly Class B & C space. The Class A Ritz block is not being developed on spec - it's for a specific client. And the hotels are not affected by the vacancy rates.
