Another two years of playing "What's it gonna look like!?"

Darko wouldn't have it any other way.

So they haven't even submitted what the building will look like but the crane just went in this week? Oh yeah, gotta be a Vrancor build.

Just to be clear here, the actual shape of the building has been approved at city hall. The curved glass, podium etc....
Only thing staff told me they have not yet seen, or approved is the exterior colour. No document has yet been submitted with the colour chart of trim, glass colour, balcony colour, window colour etc....

I would suggest emailing councillor Farr (I have) if you're concerned. I believe we can't have our 2nd tallest building be an ugly hulk. Bad design it what fuels NIMBYS the next time a high-rise is proposed. It's time we start pressuring Vrancor to stop building garbage, and do something attractive and beautiful on the skyline. Having a beautiful, well designed tower here will also help mitigate the gross finishes of the tower across the street IMO. Two ugly towers beside each other will be awful for the neighbourhood and city.

^ love your posts LRTfan. I would like to see a high-rise even if slightly garbage design. I don't think this tower will be that... lots of glass. enclosed balconies.

It looks like Darko has purchased the old mortgage shack just next door facing King. The interior looks like it's being fit out as some sort of office, probably for construction since the rear of the lot has direct access to 22 George.

I really like the colour of those towers across the street although it would look terrible if this new building was that same colour. The Staybridge across the road however is hideous.

Looks like it...I just went by and the base shown above is installed close to Caroline. Original crane is over on the east side.

Don't think we've had any other double crane projects in downtown in the last 20 years. At least not that I recall.
