Already at 806'! It is about the same height as the Met Life building and maybe by late summer it could have supertall status.

Sooner than that. It should have supertall status by late spring. and it may top out by the end of the year.

Just realized how badly the 700-800ft plateau of midtown needs these luxury towers. The benefit of new peaks in the skyline somewhat outweigh their individual designs, in my opinion.

Yeah, here more than any of the other locations on 57th, you need to get that high before the views open up more. Those other towers have it a little bit better with Central Park and its lowrises being directly to the north. But midtown is long overdue for a skyline growth spurt. The classic skyline has been coming back to us in recent years.
