I've started 8 man rowing at the Rowing club every week. It's such a blast.

I take it you are doing the row for Kids.

Congratulations. Been a member there since 78. My wife has a boat named after her as well. Good club on a great stretch of water.

And when you all get to the point you are rowing together regularly it is even more of a blast.

Had our second session on the water yesterday. Fun to see the team develop and start to sync with one another. Whish I got into it years ago.

Never to late. At the Masters Level there were 3-90 year olds competing.
When this bridge is officially opened I believe we will row down to it.

the window for floating the arch across is quickly closing. End of Oct the chances of freeze up are greater. Latest we have had true open water is the last week of Nov. but we could start seeing bank ice in the next few weeks.

Other than that is is nice to see this finally moving forward.

Noticed some pretty large sections sitting in the rail yard just south of Whyte.

yeah, i saw they were unloading the large flanges that i think will bolt onto the thrust blocks earlier this week. you can see them on the north side on the cam... i see one of the larger barges floating over this morning too... very cool.

They are really going to be pushing the float. there are only a few more weeks of clear ice free water. After Oct freeze up can happen pretty quickly.
