I think because it is so subtle, it turned out rather well, and not a big mess. It only shows up with more contrast at certain angles and in certain light. This can be seen in some of Caltrane's excellent shots.

wow this building is really coming together! This would be nice to have in Vancouver! I'll be in Toronto next week, I'm excited to check it out, I haven't seen it since it was below the ground!

Yea, its a beauty. And I'm psyched for Toronto. But, why don't they just go for a thousand ft?!

this building is a behemoth! i had to look it up on google images to tell whether it was topped out...it looks like the curved upper section is just starting, and it's about a third of the building's height. it might not be a super-tall but it's a hell of a lot more massive than most of the tallest residential buildings in the world.

^^Toronto's getting there-see the Oxford Place proposal or the One Yonge proposal which include supertalls. The developers are just being cautious to ensure that there really is a market for their properties, indeed, some projects have been scaled back to some degree depending on how they sell. Most sell pretty good, so the developers slowly increase the size of proposals. It's frustrating for us to watch though.
