Was in Jasper recently during Easter weekend. All pics from my Flickr, harrjames.

And for some contrast, here's a few early April Edmonton river valley shots.

Thanks signalhilhiker! these pics are from Vernon and Oyama and Aurora can be seen as far as Penticton and Osoyoos in south of B.C.

It's crazy. My father is from a rural part of the island about 3.5 hours drive south of St. John's. And he's told me many times he saw the northern lights a few times growing up. But I've never here. I did see it in Manitoba, but only at Christmas with my parents up in Bunibonibee Cree Nation.

I've never seem them anywhere that didn't feel like it was two steps from the north pole. I'd love to seen them somewhere like Vernon.

A couple years ago, I drove through Agassiz on my way to stop in at Harrison Hot Springs (namesake!) before heading into Vancouver. Gorgeous scenery around there.

Popped out to Flatrock to see if I could catch a glimpse of the first icebergs of the season but it was too foggy.

Already said in the thread but can't post after you without saying again: brilliant composition. Just flawless. Fantastic set.

This afternoon on Signal Hill. Ran up there on my lunch break.

We don't deserve this place.

This year's hiking season got really started this past saturday as we made out way to Squamish, BC to climb the lonely trail to the small Petgill Lake. Enjoy!

The trail begins green...

...but gets pretty dark around the halfway.

Unfortunately there is extensive clearcutting ongoing in the mid-mountain.

You can see the logging roads even from above.

Even more clearcutting on the other side of Howe Sound.

The tiny namesake lake.

Squamish, Stawamus Chief and Mount Garibaldi.

View from the top. The magnificent Howe Sound!

Beautiful shots, very interesting wandering through an active logging site too, don't see that very often.

Gorgeous pics, all. Especially Klazu, looks great.

A few landscape-mostly shots from Ayreonaut and my trip to the Bonavista Peninsula.
